Wilderness 4WD Adventures are one of the leading small group tour companies operating in the Top End of Australia, including Kakadu, Litchfield and Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Parks as well as the Kimberley region in far north Western Australia.
We are an Eco certified company and, because of our minimal impact techniques and relationship with local Aboriginal custodians, we have been granted access to a number of Restricted Permit areas within Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks. This enables us to get our customers away from the crowds and into the more secluded areas of these two fantastic National Parks.
We are always on the lookout for bright, enthusiastic people who have a passion for tourism and particularly those who love adventure. If you can answer 'yes' to most of the following, then this could be your chance of a lifetime.

The above are some of the key requirements for being a great tour guide. Most of our passengers are from overseas so some previous travel experience would be advantageous so you understand the expectations of travelers.
We operate 4WD vehicles in remote locations so a basic understanding of mechanics and some practical common sense is a must, along with 4-wheel driving ability. Cooking skills, first aid knowledge and a desire to learn about the Top End of Australia are key - its history, flora and fauna, geology, indigenous history and culture.
If you're interested in becoming a tour guide, we offer a full training program to get you up to speed. You will need a clean driving record, be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident and have fluent spoken English. Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as is a Senior First Aid Certificate and an MR or LR License with H endorsement. You will need a standard Medical Check and Criminal History Check.
