If you like the idea of independent travel where you decide where you go, how long you stay and who you go with, but don't have the resources or knowledge to do it, then a Private Charter is the next best thing.
We offer Private Charters for families, groups of friends, schools and businesses who want to experience the Top End of the Northern Territory on their own terms. We cover from Arnhem Land and Kakadu National Park in the east through Nitmiluk National Park (Katherine Gorge), Litchfield National Park and right across to the Kimberley in the north of Western Australia.
With our extensive vehicle range we are able to handle most group sizes from a couple right up to 30 people or more in 4-wheel drive vehicles and trailers fitted out for the bush. The other major benefit of a Private Charter is that we supply an experienced Guide to ensure your trip goes smoothly, utilising their bush skills and imparting their wealth of knowledge and understanding on subjects such as Aboriginal and European history, the fascinating geology of the region and the diverse flora and fauna.
Another attraction of a Private Charter with Wilderness 4WD Adventures is that we have Special Permits to a number of areas in Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks so we can get you away from the crowds and 4WD into the more secluded areas where you can relax and swim in some of the most idyllic locations imaginable. We have two Exclusive Permits to the Upper Tolmer Falls and Upper Sandy Creek Falls in Litchfield National Park as well as two Restricted Permits to Koolpin Gorge and Graveside Gorge in Kakadu National Park.
If you want a firsthand cultural experience to get an understanding into the history and ways of the descendants of the first inhabitants of Australia, then we can arrange an exclusive visit to the Kakadu Culture Camp. You'll get an amazing insight into the Aboriginal people's traditional way of life told to you by the local people as well as some hands on activities like spear throwing, basket weaving and playing the didgeridoo.
We can also organise your own private charter cruise on Corroborree Billabong where you'll have the whole boat to yourselves to move around to get the best vantage point for viewing or taking photos of amazing crocodiles, birds and other wildlife.
